Flowers and Herbs of Early America


The author,Lawrence Griffith, a curator of plants, skilled researcher and gardener explored the flowers and herbs known to have been in Williamsburg and coastal Virginia in the eighteenth century. He has documented the evidence that places plants in early Virginia. He then organised field trials to determine the merits and durability of these plants and was then able to suggest suitable plants for the historical area gardens.
