Atlas de la Flore Lorraine

A collective effort by Floraine, the local association of botanists in Lorraine - and the result of ten years of field research on the state of the regions flora. This work describes over 1800 species and contains almost 5000 illustrations. Each entry has at 2 or 3 photographs, at least one of which is a close-up of some key part of the plant, and a summary description. The distribution maps are based on a database of 420,000 observations.
Overall the atlas it typical of modern French works of this type, albeit something larger than most - nearly 4 kg in weight!
